Why We Love Magnetic Grid Whiteboard (And You Should, Too!)

Where I work a magnetic glass board and more.

A couple of weeks back, I painted a glass board in my office with both magnetic paint and colour paint, so now I've got myself a fancy pants office magnetic glass board! Incredible, ideal!? I've wished to alter my office for some time, and lastly, it hit me exactly what I desired. So I picked up Rust-oleum magnetic guide and a large piece of glass board and set off to work!

The magnetic paint was kind of an inconvenience. I probably would not utilize it ever again. It was insanely hard to blend. All the magnetic particles or whatever were just in a solid three-inch glob at the bottom. My arms were in fact sore from mixing this stuff. (If you select some up in your area ask someone in the paint department to throw it in the blending device for you real quick to make it a bit easier!) On top of that, it took 2 complete cans and what seemed like a billion coats to even get it remotely magnetic. I'm truly pleased I didn't decide to paint an even larger location than this, that would have been insane.

Let's speak about how much the magnetic guide stinks! I had all my windows open, the fan running, taking all the preventative measures I 'd usually take when painting. A few hours after I was done painting, I started smelling gas. I called the gas company and began a mini go nuts. I got all 4 cats, put them in 3 carriers and pushed them in my automobile. Then ran back in your house, grabbed a bunch of things that were unique to me and pulled my cars and truck out into the road and waited for the gas business to show up. Nearly an hour later on the man shows up, and I take him into your house. Long story short, he didn't smell anything, his maker couldn't spot any gas, and he asked if I 'd be painting. How awkward!! I'm not 100% sure why it took so long for the smell to get to me specifically since it never really smelled in the room I was painting however after I started painting again with the second can I understood this stuff does sort of odor like gas.

Anyway, back to my little job. The next day, after that was all dry, I used the orange colour paint on the glass board, which was a breeze compared to the magnetic stuff. I painted 2 coats and waited on a couple of days before "conditioning" it (which is just rubbing down the entire thing in chalk, so it's much easier to eliminate.) Easy peasy! I like how it does not in fact appear like I painted the glass board itself but hung a huge piece of a coloured magnetic whiteboard.

Regardless of being a little bit of pain in the butt, I'm really delighted with how this ended up even if I need to use incredibly strong magnets and everything is now covered in a fine layer of chalk dust. Ha! I wouldn't advise utilizing the magnetic primer if you're searching for something simple, low-cost or very strong however the coloured glass board paint is terrific. It's super neat to be able to compose on a large glass board that hangs right on my wall!

As well as that little job, I likewise cleaned out the closet in this space that was house to lots of random things, a number of which now are at the charity. With that closet tidy, I had the ability to move one of my clothes racks therein, which maximized a lots of room and made the space SO much more vibrant. I stacked my shoe racks, so they used up less flooring space and relocated a table for succulents. I'm so pleased with this space now. It's incredible how much of a distinction little changes to the office like that can make.

I like this little office of mine, however next time I will utilize an expert business to make me amagnetic glass board!
